First Southern Kids

Welcome to FSBC Children’s Ministry!

Belief

We believe each child is a gift from God, and we take it seriously that we are called to raise them up to know the Lord. FSBC Children’s Ministry will assist the parents through Sunday School, Children’s Church, AWANA, and fellowship.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14

Sunday Mornings

We offer Sunday School classes for K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, and 5th-6th grade from 9:30 am. to 10:30 a.m. Currently, we are using the Gospel Project Curriculum.

K-1st Grade Teachers – Lora Lou Hershey and Gregg White

2nd-3rd Grade Teachers – Gena Hampton and David Short

5th-6th Grade Teachers – Jim Dodge and Cheryl Dreitz

During worship service, we offer Children’s Church for K-3rd grade using the Gospel Project Curriculum,

Sunday Evenings

On Sunday evenings from 5-6:30 p.m., children may participate in Prayz Force. We believe that all children are creative and musical and should have the opportunity to develop these gifts. Our children’s choir seeks to inspire a love of music in children and worshipping our Lord and Savior.

Prayz Force performs in December by presenting a musical and in the spring the children will share with the congregation songs throughout the spring season with the church.

FSBC offers the AWANA program

Awana will begin on August 26th for the 2020-2021 school year. Keep an eye out for more information.

We begin at 6:10 pm and end at 7:30 pm. You may drop off your child(ren) at 6 pm. Cubbies will dismiss at 7:20 pm and Sparks & T&T will dismiss at 7:30 pm.

Awana is for children ages 3 years through 5th grade. Awana runs from August to April.
