February’s Teaching Series, “Dollars and Sense” begins THIS Sunday, February 6th! The Bible talks about money – a lot! There are more than 2,000 verses in scripture that mention money. 11 of Jesus’ 39 parables reference money, and that doesn’t even include what Paul, John, and Peter had to say about money in their letters. So, we’re going to talk about it together – no pressure, no coaxing, no guilting, or browbeating, just the facts! See ya Sunday!
Hey Church –
You’ve probably already heard that there are some changes coming regarding the staffing of our Kids Ministry. In the event that you haven’t heard, both Norma Jean Dodge, our Children’s Coordinator, and Nique Brown, our Nursery Coordinator, have prayerfully decided to step down from their respective positions effective December 31 this year. We’re incredibly grateful for their years of service and for the healthy way in which both ladies are pursuing this change! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the transition of Norma Jean or Nique, please take the time to seek these ladies out and talk to them directly.
As we look towards the future of our Kid’s Ministry here at First Southern Baptist Church, we will be pursuing a single, full time position for the role of Kid’s Coordinator (this position will include oversight of kids, birth – 5th grade). “Finding Jesus in Everyday Moments” FSBC Ladies’ Legacy 2022
Your FSBC Ladies’ Legacy Team is looking forward with renewed vision and excitement to a new year.
With this in mind, we have several opportunities for you to gather with other women during February.
PLANNING PARTY
We would like to invite any of you who have ideas for women’s ministry that you would like to share to join us on Monday, the 21st, 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the NE room of FSBC for a PLANNING PARTY! This doesn’t mean you will be obligated to join the team, although we would be delighted if you volunteer! We would just like to hear your thoughts and wishes for the direction you would like to see for FSBC women’s ministry. There will be snacks and lots of fun!
FEBRUARY LUNCH
Join us at EL RANCHITO on Thursday, the 17th, between 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., or as soon as you are able to be there. Our custom is “going Dutch.” We plan to “do lunch” each month, so we understand that our group may be different each month. Feel free to bring a friend or co-worker.
