Each year during the months of September and October we take up a special offering. The Viola Webb Missions Offering is split between the Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists (KNCSB) and the Western Kansas Baptist Association (WKBA). These two entities work together with our church and other churches to minister to Christians, pastors, and churches in our two states as well as reaching those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Savior.

When you give to the Viola Webb offering, you are giving to help:

Provide training for pastors and lay-leaders in our churches.
Plant new churches.
Strengthen existing churches.
Send missionaries to North America and International mission opportunities.
and much more

Our church goal is to give $3,000.00 to the Viola Webb Missions Offering this year. Would you prayerfully consider how God would have you give?

Prayer for Deacons

The Deacon body has continued to meet since the pandemic. Sometimes the meetings have occurred via Zoom but as restrictions have eased, we have met in person to pray for our pastor, his family and our church family. Presently there are eight serving deacons. The Deacon body doesn’t feel like that is sufficient to meet all that is required to serve effectively. In the coming weeks you will be receiving a call for deacons. As we begin the steps necessary to do this, the Deacons are asking that you pray along for God’s direction as we move toward this call. Presently, our Deacons are:

If you feel God nudging you to serve as a deacon but are concerned that you just don’t know enough about the Bible, please consider that a deacon is, above all else, a servant. (Acts 6). In fact the scriptural qualifications of a deacon found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 focus on character and family life and not how many Bible verses you can quote from memory. Please pray for God to bring to mind the men of our church who can fill this vital role.

Our next business meeting will be on Sunday, October 25th at 5 PM in the worship center. In this business meeting we will be going over 2021 budgets & events. Everyone is welcome. All members are encouraged to attend to help take care of church business.
