February’s Teaching Series, “Dollars and Sense”. The Bible talks about money – a lot! There are more than 2,000 verses in scripture that mention money. 11 of Jesus’ 39 parables reference money, and that doesn’t even include what Paul, John, and Peter had to say about money in their letters. So, we’re going to talk about it together – no pressure, no coaxing, no guilting, or browbeating, just the facts! See ya Sunday!
Menu for Wednesday Night, March 2nd is: Spaghetti & Meatballs, Salad, Garlic Bread and Dessert
On Sunday, March 6th, we will begin a new teaching series called “Filters, Temptation is Never What It Seems”. Based on 1 John 2:15-17, this teaching series will equip us with the ability to identify temptation and understand it for what it truly is – an attempt to enslave you. If you’ve ever been tempted to do something, say something, or think something wrong, this series is for you!

Because of Covid-19, some of you were not able to return the library books you had checked out. Coutd they be hiding in a bookcase or bookbag somewhere?
Please look around for any FSBC library books or DVDs and bring them with you when you come to church. Just drop them in the green bucket inside the library door.
We thank you!

Hey Church –
You’ve probably already heard that there are some changes coming regarding the staffing of our Kids Ministry. In the event that you haven’t heard, both Norma Jean Dodge, our Children’s Coordinator, and Nique Brown, our Nursery Coordinator, have prayerfully decided to step down from their respective positions effective December 31 last year. We’re incredibly grateful for their years of service and for the healthy way in which both ladies are pursuing this change! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the transition of Norma Jean or Nique, please take the time to seek these ladies out and talk to them directly.
As we look towards the future of our Kid’s Ministry here at First Southern Baptist Church, we will be pursuing a single, full time position for the role of Kid’s Coordinator (this position will include oversight of kids, birth – 5th grade). If you’re interested in this position, or know of someone who might be, check out the link below! If you have questions about the position, check out the link below! If you just want to be in the know about the details of this position, check out the link below!
In the meantime, we would greatly appreciate your continued prayers for wisdom and understanding as the Personnel Team is seeking God’s will regarding the individual who will fill this role.
Hey Church! We need your opinion! This year, following Easter Sunday, we’re going to begin a 6-week teaching series called, “You Asked For It”. In this series, YOU will be selecting the 6 topics for each week’s message. To best collect your opinions, we’ve put together a survey that will allow you to select up to 6 topics OR there’s an option for you to request an unlisted topic. So, if you’ve ever said, “I wonder what the Bible says about ________”, this series is right up your alley!
