Dear Church Family,

It’s been a difficult year and, we’d all agree, it still is. That’s as true for our Southern Baptist overseas missionaries as it is for the rest of us. Some serve in countries that are returning to martial law lockdowns after having endured them for months on end earlier this year. While grateful for the technology, many are weary from long days of working online. Others have been busy distributing food in refugee camps and delivering personal protection equipment to medical clinics. They’ve lost colleagues, some due to Covid but others unrelated to the pandemic. Hundreds have been forced out of countries they had served for years, even decades, with very little prospect of returning. Now they face the challenge of a new assignment, learning a new language and culture. Many have been in a prolonged state of waiting for deployment or redeployment, hoping that world leaders will soon open borders and foreign governments would issue visas.

Yet, with God’s help, what has been true for 175 years is still true today: Southern Baptists’ witness among the nations remains uninterrupted. Challenged? Yes. But uninterrupted. We still have thousands of Southern Baptists’ most gifted sons and daughters proclaiming Christ among the nations.

We’re beginning a BRAND NEW sermon series in February called, “What Happy Couples Know”. This is a series on relationships, so if you’re married, engaged, dating, single and hope to be in a relationship, or single with married friends, you can benefit from this series!  Also, if you happen to know someone in the community who could benefit from a series on relationships, bring them with you!!

“Mr. Fix It” is the theme of the 2021 KNCSB Man Up men’s retreat  focusing on Matthew 26:52-54 teaching men to learn to rely on God instead of their desire to be “Mr. Fix It.”

The event is held March 12-13 at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan. beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, March 12, and ending at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 13.

Jonathan Evans is the featured speaker. He is a former NFL fullback who partners in ministry with his father, Tony Evans, in the local church and their national ministry.

He and his father wrote “Get in the Game,” a practical guidebook filled with sports analogies and spiritual truths aimed at strengthening readers with the skills they need for living victoriously.

Jonathan is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in Christian Leadership.

He also serves as the chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys and co-chaplain of the Dallas Mavericks.

Jonathan is a dynamic speaker at churches, conferences, men’s events, banquets, youth, and FCA events. He is committed to developing the next generation of devoted Christian leaders.

Jonathan and his wife Kanika are the parents of five children. They reside in Dallas, Texas.

Hey Church!
We have a newly formed Prayer Team that will be praying during both of our Sunday services at 9:30 and 11am. If you’re interested in joining this team or would like more information on this new ministry, please let us know! You can email Pastor Mark at pastor@fsbcliberal.com.
Thank you in advance for consideration.
FSBC is excited that God led us to start a Broadcasting ministry many years ago. As we entered into this crazy year, the fact that we were already set up to livestream and record our services was a blessing.  The equipment that we use for this ministry is beginning to wear out and we are in the process of replacing it. Would you be willing to prayerfully consider helping us purchase the new equipment to keep this ministry running smoothly? Click on the link below to hear from Gary Classen the head of our Tech Team for more information!
