We are participating in the 4th of July Parade this Summer! We will have a float featuring some giant instruments for our VBS decorations. We need a few people to ride on the float and pretend to play the big instruments as well as some people to walk alongside the float to hand out bracelets and VBS invites. If you would be willing to help, please let the church office know!

Our Summer sermon series this year is, “He Really Said That?!” We’ll take a look at some of the shocking statements Jesus made during his ministry. Statements like:
- Anger = murder
- Being maimed > continuing to sin
- Unless you hate your family, you cannot be my disciple
These statements can be difficult to swallow in light of the kind, loving, Jesus that we prefer to envision. However, Jesus really said this and a lot more. Check us out Sunday at 11 am to get to the bottom of Jesus’ shocking statements!

OKLAHOMA SPORTS HALL OF FAME TO HOST 2ND ANNUAL TULSA AREA LEADERSHIP LUNCHEON
Featuring Guest Speakers: Regina Tisdale and Tommie Harris.
Guest Moderator: The Honorable Mick Cornett.
The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame is excited to host the 2nd Annual Tulsa Area Leadership Luncheon featuring Guest Speakers, Regina Tisdale and Tommie Harris, and Guest Moderator, The Honorable Mick Cornett.
Regina Tisdale, widow of Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2002 Inductee, reveals the tragic tell-all story of her 6’9″ 260lb Olympian, 12-Year NBA Veteran, smooth jazz great, loving husband and father of their four children, Wayman Tisdale. Regina and Wayman were a match made in Heaven. They had plans to be together forever . . . but cancer, an amputation and a shocking loss interrupted everything.
In Regina’s new book, Losing My Power Forward: Rebounding Through Grief, she reveals the story behind the scenes. Experience every heart wrenching detail, all the struggles, all the pain, every moment of joy and every second of grief. But discover that “rebounding through grief” really is possible.
Tommie Harris Jr. is a former American football defensive tackle who played eight seasons in the National Football League. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma and was recognized as a consensus All-American twice. The Chicago Bears chose him in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He was a three-time perennial Pro Bowler. After undergoing a long season of personal loss and grief in the years following his time in the NFL, Tommie now pursues his passion of helping others through life’s trials as a speaker, author, and music artist.
In Tommie’s new book Endure: Playing through Life’s Hardest Hits, Tommie uses his own story of loss to get down on his knees with you, share your pain, and to take your hand. He lends his own story through life’s trials and the lessons he’s learned along the way to help you discover hope again in the midst of your darkest moments, whatever they may be.
The Honorable Mick Cornett will moderate an interview style luncheon with Tisdale and Harris. A book signing and opportunity for photos, with both Tisdale and Harris, will immediately follow the luncheon. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 Promptly 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. – Luncheon Program River Spirit Casino Resort Second Floor Ballroom 8330 Riverside Parkway, Tulsa, OK. 74137.
Table Sponsorships and Individual Tickets are now available for this event. No physical tickets will be sent out for this event. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, a percentage of each ticket purchase is tax-deductible.
Our goal this year for the Bill Koehn offering is $2,000. Please prayerfully and sacrificially give to support our Bill Koehn Mission Offering and help reach out locally for Christ.
