Hey Seniors’ and Seniors’ families,
I just wanted to remind you that Senior Sunday is just around the corner (May 15th). If you have not already, I need for you to please let me know ASAP if you/your student will be participating in our recognition during our morning services. If they/you are able to join us here is some info and things I need from you:
1. We’ll be honoring graduates at the start of both services (9:30am & 11am). Students will need to wear their cap and gown for this. I also need 5-6 photos of your graduate (from childhood-now) for our slideshow. I need these no later than Sunday, May 8th. Please submit these to me digitally.
2. In between services we would like for our congregation to have the opportunity to greet and congratulate our graduates. To facilitate this we will make space available for each graduate at the info center where additional pictures can be displayed and students and families can be stationed to be greeted.
Praying for you all often, and excited to join in this celebration!
-Todd

Hey Church!
If you’re reading this post, this is for YOU!!
On Friday, May 20, we are asking EVERYONE who calls FSBC home to pray and fast with us! Here are the details:
- What’s the purpose of a fast?
The simple purpose of fasting is to let the pangs of hunger remind you to pray. Fasting leaves you in a vulnerable state and when partnered with prayer, leads to greater dependence on God.
- How long are we fasting and praying?
Sunup to Sundown (about 7am to 9pm)
- What are we fasting from?
Usually fasting is geared towards abstaining from food. However, we understand that due to health issues, not everyone can fast for 14+ hours. If that’s you, you might consider fasting from social media, your phone, TV, news outlets, etc.
- Why is FSBC Fasting and Praying?
We’re fasting and praying for the church at large, but very specifically, for our children’s ministry. We’re asking God for guidance as we continue the search for a Kids Minister, asking God to move mightily among our kids, and we’re asking for God to “send workers into the fields” – with the transition in leadership and summer vacations, we have several holes to fill within our volunteers for Nursery and Children’s Ministry.
At 6:30 that Friday evening, those who are available will gather for worship and prayer. We’ll praise God for his provisions, and pray together for His solutions. PLEASE put this on your calendar and make plans NOW to join us!

Hey Church Family,
With summer just around the corner, our annual youth summer camp will be here soon. Our hope this year is to take 70 campers (students and sponsors). We are well on our way to this and we’re seeking out members of our church family to partner one to one with each of our campers in a program we call “Adopt-A-Camper”. Here’s what we are hoping for from each person who partners with us:
1. A financial donation of any amount. This donation will help defray the cost of camp for all of our students. All donations will be spread across all campers.
2. A commitment to pray. When you agree to adopt a camper you will be given a prayer band to remind you to pray for our campers in the week leading up to camp as well as during Super Summer. I will additionally send out prayer prompts by text to help guide you on how to pray for our students.
3. A commitment to encourage. As camp approaches you will be paired with a particular student. You will receive a picture of them so you can put a name with a face. Using this we are hoping you can encourage your student before and after camp. Additionally I will provide addressed envelopes so you can send notes of encouragement to your student which they will receive while at Super Summer.
We are looking for 70 adopters, to cover every one of our campers, so chances are we need you! Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us?
