September 15, 2022 Newsletter

Come to our fall teaching series called, “The Church Next Door”, a study of      1 Corinthians.
Whether or not we admit it, most churchgoers have a “church crush”: a church or ministry that we look at and think, “Wow.  Now, that’s how you do church.” The tendency to look at another church down the road or online and think it has to be better than our local church is more than common.  As we dive into 1 Corinthians, we will dispel the myth of the perfect church and help us find joy in being part of the family that makes up our home church.
Ladies’ Legacy Invites You!
“Back to Haiti Night”
Monday, September 19th

6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Join us as we hear from Cindy Adams, Elizabeth Denoyer, and Karol McKee.
They will tell us about their experiences from the recent FSBC Mission Trip to Haiti, where they worked at Christian Light School with Sherrie Fausey.

Be thinking of questions you would like to ask the ladies.  We all wonder about what their weeks in Port-au-Prince were like, and this is our opportunity to find out.

We will also have an opportunity to lend a hand to Sherrie by taking an offering to send a CD player, or more than one, and CDs of children singing.  She says these would be very helpful to the teachers at CLS.  We will be able to send them by way of Agape flights.

Please add your name to the sign-up sheet at the Welcome Center, so that we will order enough Dominos pizza for our meal!

Every fall KNCSB collects the Viola Webb Offering for State and Associational Missions.
“Celebrating 75 years of sharing the Gospel in Every Town, City and Campus” is the offering theme for 2021-22.  The offering goal is $210,000.
Half of offering gifts will be returned to the association where the money was given.
The offering will help support KNCSB church planting, collegiate work, church health and disaster relief.
The offering is named for Viola Webb who led Kansas-Nebraska Woman’s Missionary Union for 1959 to 1982. KNCSB named the offering in her honor after she retired.
