The sermon explored Philippians 2:5-11, often called the Christ Hymn, which presents an abbreviated form of the gospel itself. We journeyed through the profound humility of Christ—from His divine glory in heaven, through His incarnation and life as a servant, to His obedient death on a cross. Then we witnessed His glorious exaltation by God the Father. This passage challenges us to adopt the same attitude as Christ Jesus, living lives of total surrender and self-emptying rather than seeking comfort or recognition. It reminds us that true humility leads to obedience, and that God alone determines when and how to exalt His faithful servants.
