The sermon explored the defining moment when Jesus came to John the Baptist at the Jordan River to be baptized, drawing from Matthew 3 and John 1. Just as that encounter changed everything for John, we were challenged to consider what happens when Jesus truly steps into our own stories. His arrival does not simply improve our circumstances -- it transforms our perspective, clarifies our purpose, and redirects the entire course of our lives. We were reminded that Jesus came as the Lamb of God to deal with the deepest problem every human being faces, and that following him means surrendering our expectations and trusting him to write a story that points to his glory.
