Immanuel: God with Us
Dec 28, 2025 • Jeremy Harris
The sermon explored how God's desire to dwell with His people isn't just a Christmas story—it's the consistent theme throughout all of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. We saw that Emmanuel, "God with us," represents God's unchanging commitment to be present with His people through every season of history. From walking in the Garden of Eden, to dwelling in the tabernacle and temple, to becoming flesh in Jesus Christ, to living within us through the Holy Spirit, God has always chosen intimate relationship over distant observation. This reality transforms how we understand our faith—God doesn't want to be an occasional guest in our lives; He wants to be our constant companion, dwelling with us in all our messiness and helping us grow.
