The sermon explored the mysterious connection between Hosea 11:1 and Matthew 2:15—"Out of Egypt I called my son." We examined how God's ways often don't make sense in moments of crisis, yet His "cross-handed providences" bring our greatest mercies. Just as God protected the infant Jesus by sending Him to Egypt and then calling Him out, He demonstrates a love that pursues us even when we run away. This message reveals both the greatness of our sin and the magnificence of His grace, showing us that God provides whatever we need to meet His righteous demands—not through our effort, but through His Son.
