Faith in the Storm
Feb 15, 2026 • Andrew Puett
The sermon explored Matthew 14:22-33, where Jesus sent His disciples into a storm and then came to them walking on water. Through Peter's bold step of faith, we discovered that obedience doesn't exempt us from storms, but it does position us to see Jesus in powerful ways. The message challenged us to understand that sometimes we're in the storm precisely because we're in God's will, and that faith isn't about staying where it feels safe—it's about stepping where Jesus calls us. We learned that while 11 disciples stayed in the boat, only Peter experienced the miracle of walking on water, reminding us that the safest place isn't always the comfortable place, but rather wherever God's will leads us.
