The Joy of Advancing the Gospel

May 31, 2026    Andrew Puett

This week's sermon explored how God can transform our most challenging seasons into opportunities for gospel advancement. Through Paul's example of writing from prison—chained, restricted, and facing possible execution—we discovered that what appears to be hindering God's work may actually be helping it. Paul's imprisonment became a mission field as he evangelized the very guards assigned to watch him, proving that God's sovereignty can turn chains into pulpits, suffering into testimony, and opposition into opportunity. The message challenges us to shift from praying "God, get me out of this" to "God, use this," recognizing that our faithfulness in hardship often encourages others and advances the Kingdom in ways we may never fully realize.
