Winning Either Way

The sermon explored Paul's remarkable perspective on life and death found in Philippians 1:18-26, where he declares, "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain." We examined how viewing all of life through the lens of Jesus Christ—rather than viewing Jesus through the lens of our circumstances—leads to unshakeable joy. Paul's single-minded goal of unashamedly honoring Christ meant he could face any outcome with confidence. Whether he continued in ministry or departed to be with the Lord, he was winning either way. This assured victory transforms how we approach both the challenges of daily living and the reality of our mortality, reminding us that as long as we have breath, we have a mission field right where we are.
