Joy Grows In Healthy Gospel Relationships
May 17, 2026 • Phillip Puett
The sermon explored the opening verses of Philippians, revealing that biblical joy is fundamentally different from temporary happiness. While the world tells us joy comes from comfort, success, money, or getting our own way, Paul wrote this letter about joy from prison—in the midst of confinement, uncertainty, and suffering. The message demonstrated that real joy grows in a healthy church where believers are mentored, surrendered to Christ, and partnered together in the gospel. Rather than being rooted in our circumstances, true joy is anchored in Jesus Christ and expressed through deep, intentional relationships within the body of Christ.
